These three beaches at the eastern coast of the island are attractive to those who are looking for a wild nature undisturbed by the civilization. Long stretches of white sand beaches are framed into the picturesque granite builders. As there is no coral reef protecting the shore from the big waves, during the south east monsoon (from May till October) one can meet quite high waves and possible strong currents in the middle of the beach. Anse Coco is accessible only by foot going from Grand Anse and passing by Petite Anse beach. By itself, this walk is a great experience of walking though the forest and enjoying the lush tropical environment. We recommend
renting a bicycle or
getting a taxi to reach Grand Anse beach where you can start your exploration by foot.
